PCMCIA does not work at all.
pcmcia", series "a", is installed.
You can find out the version number by entering "rpm -q pcmcia".
If the package is not installed, please install it with YaST.cardmgr has not been started (solution below).
Set the PCMCIA variable in the file /etc/rc.config (up to SuSE Linux version 7.3 or /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia (from SuSE Linux version 8.0 on). It should
look similar to this:
PCMCIA="i82365"
If the PCMCIA network card is going to be permanently available in the machine, the network
can be configured as usual with yast. On the other hand, if you want to change
the network card while the system is active, the file /etc/pcmcia/network.opts
must be edited. Please refer to the PCMCIA
HOWTO for this purpose.
There are numerous manpages containing specific information about single driver modules. These manpages can be displayed with:
rpm -ql pcmcia | grep man
