SuSE Linux: Versions since 4.2
less /proc/config.gz. In order to copy this configuration
to your kernel source tree, proceed as follows:
cd /usr/src/linux make cloneconfig
This does only work when compiling the SuSE kernel source, i.e. you
installed the package lx_suse from series d.
Now you have an exact copy of the configuration of the currently running kernel and you can adapt it according to your needs.
/suse/images/confige.g. if you're using the kernel
scsi01, the corresponding
configuration file is called config.scsi01.ikr.
It is not possible to get this information directly from the current kernel.
In order to use this configuration, you should do the following :
cp /cdrom/suse/images/config/config.scsi01.ikr /usr/src/linux/.config cd /usr/src/linux make oldconfigNow you have an exact copy of the configuration of the currently running kernel and you can adapt it according to your needs.
