Situation:

You want to start wvdial with a mouse click instead of doing it in an Xterminal window. You also want to create an icon for this program on the desktop.

Procedure:

Start KDE.
Click on the desktop with the right mouse button.
Select the menu Create New -> Link To Application.
Enter wvdial.kdelnk and
confirm with OK.
Select the Execute tab and enter /usr/bin/wvdial in the field Command.
Activate the check box Run in terminal.

Now you will be able to start wvdial with a mouse click.

Attention:

Always use Ctrl-C to finish wvdial. Never close the window without having finished the program first.
