Procedure:

• This card is supported by the svga-server (series xsrv, package xsvga).
• 3D-acceleration under Linux is handled by the mesa-library. Therefore you should install the 2 packages mesa and glxg200 from the series x3d.
  Optionally there is the package glutdemo, which contains several 3D demo applications. Make sure you do not have the package mesasoft installed.
• Configure the X-server using SaX. Detailed instructions can be found in the SuSE manual, chap. 9.1.

  In addition to the 'normal' configuration, the module glx has to be installed as follows:

  • Running SaX, open the dialog settings -> edit actual configuration and then selection -> section modules
  • Enter as additional parameters:
    Load "glx.so"
  • Press the Apply button and leave this dialog with Ok
• Restart X.
• Now You can try out glutdemo, which can be found in the directory /usr/lib/glutdemo/demos
• Test the screensaver
  • xlock -nolock -mode atlantis or
  • xlock -nolock -mode pipes,
  as well!
