PCMCIA: ISDN No Longer Starts After Upgrading to PCMCIA 3.1.14

PCMCIA: Version 3.1.14

Symptom:

You have upgraded to the PCMCIA package 3.1.14. When you now insert an ISDN PCMCIA card, the following error message is displayed in /var/log/messages: 
May 29 14:53:18 linux kernel: HiSax: MAX_WAITING_CALLS added
May 29 14:53:18 linux kernel: HiSax: module installed
May 29 14:53:18 linux cardmgr[76]: executing: './isdn start A1'
May 29 14:53:18 linux cardmgr[76]: + sh: ./isdn: Permission denied

Cause:

The permissions for the script /etc/pcmcia/isdn have been wrongly set.

Solution:

Change the permissions as root with:

chmod a+x /etc/pcmcia/isdn
