This directory is the archive for the Young Mathematicians Network.

The directory "newsletters" contains back issues of our newsletter "Concerns
of Young Mathematicians".

The directory "grant.info" contains files pertaining to the art of
seeking grants of various sorts.  Contributions are welcome.

Most of the files in the YMN directory have been compressed to save space.
The ".Z" suffix means that they have been compressed with the 
UNIX compress command.  To undo this on your machine, type
"uncompress <file>.  If you have downloaded the compressed file
onto your personal box, you're on your own.  There do exist
utilities for Macs and PCs for uncompressing .Z files.

You may also retrieve a file in uncompressed format by saying
"get <file>" where you omit the .Z suffix from the file name.


If you wish to be on the mailing list for the newsletter, or
if you have problems, comments or suggestions concerning
the contents of this directory, send mail to cyeomans@ms.uky.edu.

If you are having any other problems, such as not receiving
your newsletters, send mail to cyeomans@ms.uky.edu.  Surfing
the internet remains a black art, and sometimes there are 
problems with some addresses, even though the subscription
grunt attempts to verify mail pathways.
