Hi,
spare time? play xpat!

xpat is distributed in 3 packages:
xpat-1.2-src.tar.gz: source distribution
xpat-1.2-bin.tar.gz: binary distribution (Linux 1.0, libc 4.5.21, xpm-3.4)
xpat-1.2-dat.tar.gz: optional data files (colour cards, sound, external cards)

How to recompile:
For Linux and HPUX, there is a Makefile. For other systems, try the Imakefile.
Edit Makefile, there are options to select or not, and paths to edit.
You may change the paths to suit your personal preference.

Type 'make clean', 'make' to recompile the binary.
Type 'make manual.ps' to run LaTeX on the documentation sources.

Type 'make install' to install binary, man page, and data files.
(You can omit 'make' and 'make manual.ps', if you type 'make install',
but I prefer doing this in steps.)
This does NOT install any xpm colour cards. You have to do this by hand.
Please note that gzipped xpm files must end with .gz! The .z suffix from
libXpm-3.2g is no longer suppoerted.

How to play:
Just type 'xpat'.
There is a man page and a manual, which describe how to get a nicer
outfit and how to use colour cards.
For the impatient: type 'xpat -somestringwhichcannotbeanoption'
to see short help.
For frustrated players: See file xpat.log (source distrib.) for seeds of
games witch can be solved!

              Have fun!
                  Heiko & Michael
