    Our  research  director  and promotions manager sent around a
    memo  today  listing  all  the  cities where WBZ got Arbitron
    diary credit in the latest book. I reprint it here in full:

    Now  I'm  flattered  we're  heard  so  regularly  in  so many
    places...and    by   enough   people   to   garner   Arbitron
    Credit...but  now help me blow the socks off my promotion di-
    rector!  Drop  me  a  piece of e-mail telling me where you've
    heard WBZ, and I'll pass the word along to Frank.

    What  the heck...I can probably even work up a reward for the
    most   distant   claims  of  reception  (Are  you  listening,
    Veli-Matti :-) ?)

    So,  Bill,  how  does  1030 sound in Chicago tonight? (I know
    I've  gotten  a  nice  clean signal at night in Fort Wayne IN
    many times!)

    [Moderator's  Note:  You're  learning,  Scott.  :-).  WGN  in
    Chicago  gets  Arb  credit as far away as Green Bay Wisconsin
    which  is  some  200 + miles away! As far as WBZ I have heard
    them  just  50  mile east of= Cheyanne WYO (EVEN WITH KTWO ON
    THE  AIR.)  Guess  they  have a mother****** of a directional
    array!. Bill)

    I  told my Promotions Director about this, and he says we can
    definitely   come  up  with  some  prizes  for  the  top  few
    reception reports.

    Right  now the winners are Veli-Matti Antilla (Oulu, Finland)
    and  Fairfield  CA.  I  want to hear from you about where and
    when  you can hear WBZ...even if you're closer to Boston than
    those two.

    We'll keep the contest open for another week or two.
