HE MENTION ABOVE VENEZUELA: 1st: 640 JAN.25 UNION RADIO 6-40, PUERTO LA CRUZ (EX PORTENA 6-40) I Reply: Union Radio is a Network, sometimes the stations of the network has the ID as: "UNION RADIO" and the frequency of the station, but that is only an slogan, this station hasn't change the name, "Ondas Portenas", is the nominal name, probably you could hear "Portenas 6-40" too. 2nd: 720 JAN.11 R.ORIENTE, PORLAMAR (EX R.FELICIDADES) I Reply: The Ministry of Communications has the rule that two stations can't have the same name. But I personally checked, by phone, and the station listed as Radio FELICIDAD, has that name yet. Radio ORIENTE, is actually on 890 kHz, located in El Tigre. Both Porlamar (the capital of Margarita Island, Nueva Esparta State) and El Tigre (a town located in the center of Anzoategui state) are located is the east of the country, in "Oriente". Probably some mistakes was out from this. 3rd: 1090 JAN.21 UNION RADIO 10-90, CARACAS, (EX EXITOS 10-90) I Reply: Another station (the main) of Union Radio Network. The same commentary made in the 1st appart. 4th: 1450 JAN.20+23 R.INFORMATIVA, PUERTO DE ALTAGRACIAS. "RADIO INFORMATIVA LA ONDA DE LAS NOTICIAS"FORMAT IS ALL NEWS BUT THEY BELONG TO CIRCUITO "LA SUPER RADIO" (NOTHING TO DO WITH R.INFORMATIVA CARACAS) THEY ANNOUNCE TO BE LINKED WITH LA VOZ DEL CENTRO 1510 kHz & R.BARCELONA 1080 kHz. GIVING NEW QTH NOT EXACTLY COPIED "AVENIDA URDANETA, ESQUINA DE..." sorry (EX R.FUTURA 14-50) I Reply: Sorry again, but this is not true!. Radio FUTURA is still existing above that name in Puerto de Altagracia, but this station belong to the same network of Radio INFORMATIVA, Caracas. The main station has the format "only news", and when the network is broad- casting together, all the time transmit the signal from Caracas. Other stations linked with INFORMATIVA mentioned on Gaviria report I haven't the real comfirmation, but until my informations was actualized, this two stations doesn't belong to the network. I comfirm the address of Radio INFORMATIVA, Caracas. The station is located in a buiding now called FM Center, where other stations mostly on local FM, are functioning. The address on WRTH '94 is still active. Please take note on this explanations to understand a little more why happen this kind of mistakes.
