Galactic Spy Release History

Galactic Spy 1.12
=======================================

Fixes version BETA:

* Doesn't require CMDIALOG.VBX (It never really needed this,
  I just forgot to take out out of the project... oops!).
  Hopefully Galactic Spy will now actually run!).

* Missing letter "p" in headline of GALSPY.HLP fixed.

Fixes version 0.10 BETA:

* Fixed a problem with the alignment of the ship data
  under the combo boxes.

* Ships with an unknown mass are are now reported as
  having an "unknown" mass instead of 0 mass.

Fixes version 0.11 BETA

* Fixed a problem where GS would pop up a "Path not Found"
  error message when the VGA Planets 3.0 data files were
  in a directory other than "\planets" (oops again!).

Fixes version 0.12 BETA

* Fixed a problem where players 10 and 11 wouldn't get any
  data!  (triple oops!)

* GS now scans for enemy ships behind planets automatically
  when you run it. They will only be displayed if the
  Galactic Spy is registered.

* Confirmed that GS will work with Host versions up to 3.1H,
  it is unknown if they will work with newer versions (they
  should, though).

Fixes version .13 BETA

* Confirmed that GS will work with Host versions up to 3.11D,
  it is unknown if GS will work with newer versions (it
  should, though)

* Added game management features for players of multiple games.

* GS now checks to make sure you have the appropriate files.

* Improved documentation (GALSPY.TXT).

* Interface/graphics changed to make it easier to port to DOS
  in the near future.

* Allows user to toggle on/off whether or not the database is
  used in GS's scan display.

* Supplimental scoring system that shows each known race's
  overall technological achievements and combat strength.

* Moved race filter from the menu to a dialog box, so you
  can modify the race selections all at once.

* GS no longer displays the login dialog box.

* GS now has only one font option, FixedSys, because it is
  the most predictiable font and could be aligned more easily
  with the combo boxes at the top of GS's window and because
  of portability to DOS text mode.

* replaced GALSPY.HLP with GALSPY.TXT, primarily because of
  portability to DOS text mode in the future.

* GS now remembers which races you have filtered out when you
  quit.

* New GALSPY.INI can now be safely edited with a text editor.

Fixes version 1.00

* Fixed bug where Colony and Rebel ships were mistakingly
  identified as Fed ships.

* Fixed bug where GS incorrectly identified the locations
  of ships that moved from planets to deep space (it reported
  them as remaining at the planet). Not sure if what I did
  fixed the problem -- someone let me know.

* GS now remembers which game you were running last and whether
  or not you had the <Include Database> feature enabled.

Fixes version 1.01

* Fixed problem where GS would enter an infinite loop if the
  game directory in the first slot of the <Games> menu was
  deleted (I think, I hope).

* Fixed a problem where <Update Database> would overwrite
  all recorded data if <Include Database> was not selected.
  (Oops!)

* Added a visual map viewer, which shows you the locations
  of enemy and friendly ships on a full-view graphical map.

* GS's database now records the turn in which it was last
  recorded, so you can differentiate between old and recent
  information.

* You can now print the VGA Planets game map (planets only)
  to your printer.

* Slight rearrangement of menus.

* Added <Auto Update> menu item, so you do not have to manually
  click on <Update Database> every time you get a new turn.

* View race dialog now gives you the option to select <All>
  or <None> of the races.

Fixes version 1.10

* Another database problem fixed

Fixes version 1.11

* The database only works in the registered version, and due to the
  recent change in HOST.EXE, you must register Galactic Spy. This was
  originally considered a bug, but I decided to leave it in, since
  registered versions work fine.

* Minor documentation changes.

* No more releases of Galactic Spy! Working on the DOS version, called
  VGA WarRoom! Look for it in January...
