GOLD RUSH SCENARIO FOR VGA PLANETS (Version 2)

This scenario was written for VGA Planets 3.0 using Dan Gale's
Campaign Editor version 2.12. VGA Planets is a registered trademark
of Tim Wisseman.

BACKGROUND
In Gold Rush, the Privateers have stolen virtually all the minerals from
the colonized areas of the universe, making their's an mineral rich empire.
However, the Privateers are cash poor making their expansion slow.

Meanwhile, the other 10 races are cash rich, but mineral poor. Because
these 10 races live in peace and harmony, they haven't had a need for
a lot of minerals until now.... A small Fascist exploration party has
discovered the Privateer worlds with their thousands of kilotons of stolen
minerals! While these ships sustained too much damage to return safely
home, they survived long enough to reveal to the rest of the universe
where the Privateers have stashed the minerals. And so the
"gold" rush is on....

Gold Rush players should be registered users of VGA Planets (although not
required), as this scenario will require tech levels beyond 6.

THE OBJECTIVE
The objective is for the allies to decisively defeat the Privateers (or
vice versa) in a set number of turns. I would suggest 50 turns, but this
can be voted on by the players.

SET-UP INFORMATION

* Every player (except the Privateer) starts two planets, one starbase
and several ships.

* The Privateer player starts in the southwest quadrant of the starchart,
the other players start in the other three quadrants.

* The Privateer starts with a total of 35 combat ships, including 20
Meteor Class Blockade Runners and a collection of stolen ships.

* The Privateers start with five starbases, some are undeveloped bases
used exclusively for capturing enemy ships.

* The Fascists have reported the Privateer worlds to be at or near
Jernsey (#198) in the southwest quadrant of the universe.

* This scenario uses wormholes. If you're not familiar with wormholes,
you need to get WRM034.ZIP and read the documentation.
