These are the significant visible changes between 
   Blind Galaxy V2.47 and V2.48

New options:

  STATS - gives you two tables. One for "up to dateness" of your
forces techwise, and one showing your overall col/cap/mat stockpiles
and cargo ships (both in and out of hyperspace).

  SORTYPE - sorts your shiptypes on alphabetical order

Player visable changes:

  More cleanup of errors that are misleading.

  More examples of stuff in the rules.

  Alien ship types are now always sorted on alphabetical order.

  The Q command now works.

  The default turn 0 production is now DRIVE, not CAP.

  The W/G/P status for yourself is now "-" instead of "".

GM functionality changes:

  The C command should now work correctly.

  A protoype of a C based server has been written. There is now a
"give me a single set of orders" program included with the code.

  The Q command is now implmented.

  Support for BSDI 2.x added.

GM functionality changes:

Massive speedups in fightphase() code- precompute defense values,
cache end of shot listing.

Massive speedup in battle reporting code for shots fired.

OpenBSD, NetBSD, and FreeBSD now supported.

GM snooping code for battle/bombing summaries.

More buffer overruns removed from code.

C/Z/Y commands should now be fully debugged.

Forwarding list code works.

More balanced BALANCE code.

GM full report code now includes uninhabited systems.
