To build this software untar the distribution and run the configure-script.

You will need an ANSI-C compiler, gcc works fine as well as most
vendors' compilers. HP-UX requires GNU dbm (gdbm).

Install everything in /usr/athena ("make install" running as root)

Change your path to include the bin and sbin directories and tell your
users to add /usr/athena/bin if they want to be able to use the
kerberized applications (or copy or symlink the programs to your
favorite location).

Follow the instruction in etc/README of how to fix /etc/{services,
krb.conf, krb.realms}.

You can get some documentation from ftp.nada.kth.se:/pub/krb/doc.
More information of how to set up both clients and servers can be
found at URL http://www.cygnus.com/doc/cns/install_toc.html. Beware
that the pathnames might not match.
