See the file `ChangeLog' for information on new features and other
user-visible changes since the last version of SFgate.

You can find full documentation of SFgate in the `doc' subdirectory;
see SFgate.{dvi|info|ps|texinfo} for the manual.

Prerequisites for SFgate 5.0 are:
 - Perl 5.002 or higher
 - Wais.pm, the WAIS extension module for Perl
   (<http://www.perl.com/CPAN/authors/id/ULPFR/>)

To build and install SFgate read the manual. For a quick shot just
type `make'.

With SFgate comes SFproxy, an indexing HTTP proxy. Everything
concerning this useful tool is found in the SFproxy subdirectory,
including the (executable) Perl script and a texinfo manual.

A short description of the subdirectories:

`SFproxy' holds the SFproxy perl script and documentation to it
`doc' holds some demo applications for SFgate and the manual in
    texinfo, DVI, Postscript, HTML and info format
`lib' holds some Perl libraries needed for SFgate
`source' holds the Perl code for SFgate
`tests' holds a sh script to test SFgate
