Subject: Chainsaw 2.1 code released

	For those who are interested, I am releasing the Chainsaw 2.1 code.
It is currently on ftp.cis.ksu.edu, in the pub/upload directory. It will be
moving to the pub/Games/Empire/source directory as soon as the archive
maintainer (the excellent Greyhelm) puts it there. This code is the code
used in the Chainsaw I game that Matt DeLuca ran. (It also contains a few
other minor mods, which is why it's 2.1, and not 2.0)

	I have also included a few things other than the normal source code.
These things are intended to help deities in their task. There is:

	1) A templates directory for templates of files that go
	   in the data directory to control game behaviour.

	2) A scripts directory that holds scripts that will start
	   the game for you, make sure it stays up, and make backups
	   of the game data for you.

	3) A transferkit directory, holding a set of programs to allow
	   you to transfer a game intact from one machine to another
	   machine of a different type.

If you run into any problems with this distribution, please report it to me
(in as comprehensive a fashion as possible), and I will do my very best to
help you in a timely fashion.

Chainsaw 2.2 fixes some minor bugs, cleans up some error messages, and
puts in some fixes for Ultix & RS/6000 users. It also includes a new option,
SNEAK_ATTACK, to be used with SLOW_WAR. (see info CHANGES.CHAINSAW.2.2)

Chainsaw 2.3 includes changes to let empire run on AIX.
