                             Command : PRODUCTION

 SYNTAX:
   [mc ##] Command : production <SECTS>

The production command attempts to predict what sorts of changes will occur to
a  range  of  sectors.   You specify the sectors over which production will be
estimated.

Production performs the following parts of the actual  sector  update  in  the
specified order:

           workforce calculation
           sector construction (build and teardown)
           bank interest, enlistment
           commodity & nation level production
           food consumption
           civ and uw reproduction
           tax collection

Production reports on all sectors, even those that actually produce no  commo-
dities.   Note  that actions relating to guerrillas and plague deaths will not

appear in the production report.

A summary of all activity will be displayed at the end of the report, describ-
ing the aggregate item changes, the aggregate nation level production, and the
amount of money gained or lost.

The production report has the following header:

   PRODUCTION SIMULATION
    sect  des eff work aval    flags money  commodity change

These columns represent:

            sect  The x, y coordinates of the sector,
             des  The sector's designation,
             eff  The efficiency of the sector,
            work  The number of workforce available,
            aval  The remaining available work after production is completed,
           flags  One of "clmwer", which represent the reason  why  production
                  won't  happen,  which is generally related to a shortfall in

                  one of the following things: capacity,  level  (tech,  edu),
                  materials, workforce, efficiency, or resource.
           money  The change in money due to taxes, products, sector construc-
                  tion, etc.
       commodity  The change (+ or -) in the indicated commodity level in  the
                  sector.
