cxterm -- A Chinese Terminal Emulator for X Window System Version 11 Release 4
==============================================================================

This is the second revision of X11R4 cxterm (ver-id: 11.4.2),
improved from X11R4 cxterm (11.4.1) released at the date of Nov/06/1990.
This version is good for both GB coding and BIG5 coding.

You need the same fonts as cxterm 11.4.1. You can get them by anonymous
ftp to cs.purdue.edu (128.10.2.1), under the directory ftp:/pub/ygz/x-fonts.
You may need at least one of the cclib16*.bdf.Z as well as 8x18.bdf for GB,
or HKU-Ch16.bdf.Z and 8x18big5.bdf for BIG5.

You shouldn't have too much problems if you have used cxterm 11.4.1 before.

Directory cs.purdue.edu:~ftp/pub/ygz/cxterm-dictionary contains some
input methods for cxterm. Consult cxterm(1) on how to install them.

To edit Chinese dictionary (in GB encoding) you need to have celvis.
You can find celvis.tar.Z under the same ftp directory. There is also an
ad hoc cxemacs editor in the same directory.

Cxterm 11.4.2 is redistributable in public domain.

If you have any dictionaries (in machine-readable format) and want to
share with others, we welcome you to send them to us. We can put
them in our ftp distribution directory.

Any comments, bugs, and suggestions are warmly welcome.
