Internet Manager's Phonebook -- Online!

The file phonebook/phonebook.txt is an electronic version of the
printed "Internet Manager's Phonebook", published by the NSF Network
Service Center (NNSC), Bolt Beranek and Newman Inc.

This electronic version contains all the information in the printed
version with the exception of postal addresses.  The file is a simple
ASCII database, one record to a line, with the fields separated by
vertical bars, "|".  Each record contains information about one person
who is a manager for a Internet domain.

The format of the record is:

Name|NIC Handle|E-mail|Phone|DNS Resp|DNS Admin|DNS Tech|IP Nets|Address|FAX


Name         Lastname, Firstname
NIC handle   Unique identifier assigned to the person by the DDN Network
             Information Center, SRI International, Menlo ParK, CA.
E-mail       Internet electronic mail address
Phone        Voice telephone number
DNS Resp     Domain of Domain Name Server managed by a Responsible Person*
DNS Admin    Domain of Domain Name Server managed by an Administrative Contact*
DNS Tech     Domain of Domain Name Server managed by a Technical/Zone Contact*
IP Nets      Internet numbers of networks served by the DNS
Address      U.S. Postal Address**
FAX          FAX telephone number

*   If the name of the domain is not available, this field lists the
    reverse mapping numerical address of the domain. ".in-addr.arpa" 
    is abbreviated as ".ina"
**  Omitted in this on-line database.
