INTRODUCTION
======================================================================
Message Parse is a utility that will extract information from email messages either from a MAPI
compliant mail reader or from internet POP3 mail boxes. You can define templates that tell
Message Parse what you want from the messages and where to store the infomation. Message
Parse creates delimited text files from your messages ready to be imported into other applications
like spreadsheets, accounting packages and database applications. Message Parse can also
take your data directly to a database table using ODBC connection.

How to Install
======================================================================
To install this product run the setup.exe. The install program is designed to detect any missing
components and either install them or let you know what is needed. We have decided to seperate
two main components from this package. Mainly because there is a good chance your machine
already has the reqired components. If your machine does not have them, the installation
program will let you know where to download the components from.

The Database Functionality
======================================================================
This version is all about being able to direct the output of the parsing directly to a database table.
The program can handle going directly to an access database file or any defined ODBC DNS
named table.

We are assuming you know enough about DNS setups to create one and will not be covering any
of the ODBC setup information here. If you do not I recommend visiting the Microsoft site.

It is pretty simple to set up the templates to go to a database table. When editing a template,
you will want to define what type of output file you want to use. On the general tab you will see a
pull down combo box. There are 3 choices.

A TEXT FILE, which is the same as previous versions. The engine sends the output to a flat
delimited file.

A ACCESS DATABASE - This choice will allow you to select an Access table that resides on
your system. You select the file using the browse button. Once you click the broswe button
another dial appears for you to enter the database path and file name and login name and
password. If the database does not require a login and password then leave these two
boxes blank.

A NETWORK DATABASE - This option is basically the same as an Access table except
rather than picking a file you define a DNS name that you have already defined in the ODBC
setup found in the control panel of your system.

Once you select a database in either of the last two systems, you can then go to the
"Database Table" tab and select the table you want your information to goto. Once that is done
you can double click the field name in the grid to assign variables to the field.

That is pretty much it....
