			  WHAT IS STELLAR POLICE?
			  =======================
	Stellar Police is a computerized role-play style video game for all
PC's. If you've never heard of role-play, it's a popular style of game
where each player "plays the role" of a character, on a quest operated by a
"game master." Popular examples are Dungeons & Dragons, Gurps, and Rifts
(all trade marks of their respective owners).

	In a computerized role-playing game, the computer takes the place of
a game master, and the actual game itself may be operated by a single player
or any number of other players, each commanding one or two characters.

	Stellar Police is just such a game. It is set in the distant future
in a much changed galaxy. The "country" is now a series of star systems.
Humans are still there, but they rule alongside two other extraterrestrial
races. Justice in the country is the duty of the Federal Stellar Police, a
government agency which handles criminal activity beyond the power or
jurisdiction of local authorities.

	This episode, "Manton's Stand" centers around a surprise happening
in Earth's Pacific Ocean (Earth, by the way, is now called Terra). The
country faces the threat of a dangerous super-criminal about to break free
from his captivity, and a horde of loyal followers who will challenge law
and order to their death!~
				 S.P. Sounds
				 ===========
	Wanna hear the totally awesome soundtrack to "Stellar Police?" This
single disk demo only has room for the basic game. But if you purchase the
complete game, you will be able to hear the AWESOME ALL-DIGITAL SOUNDTRACK!
All digital. Everything from the music, to the voices & screams, to the
sound effects for the weapons, is 100% DIGITIZED SOUND!!! Here's what
you'll need to know and do:

-Stellar Police's "SPsounds" upgrade makes calls to a sound driver called
	"SBSIM" (Sound Blaster Standard Interface Module). We can't give
	you a copy of this driver because we would violate the copyright of
	Creative Labs, Inc. by doing so, BUT IF YOU HAVE A GENUINE SOUND
	BLASTER CARD THEN YOU PROBABLY ALREADY HAVE IT. "SBSIM" is included
	with the bundled software that comes with a genuine Sound Blaster.
	It's location varies with the model of your soundcard (I.E.: For
	Sound Blaster Pro Owners it would be in the "\SBPRO\SBSIM\"
	directory). Use the "FILE | SEARCH" command in "FILE MANAGER" in
	WINDOWS or this installation program's DIRECTORY BROWSE command
	to find where it is. A legitimate copy of "SBSIM" is also included
	with "Sound Blaster: The Official Book" from McGraww/Hill, but we
	don't believe "SBSIM" works with any non-Sound Blaster card. (For
	best results, just get the "real McCoy.") The file you need is
	"SBSIM.COM."

-Once you find your copy of "SBSIM," tell the installer where to find it
	(using "INSTALLER SETTINGS")   B E F O R E   you actually install
	your full copy of the game.~
			     Vulgarities Version
			     ===================
	You swear at this @#&*%! computer of yours just about every day.
Now your computer's going to swear right back!

	If you are over 16 years of age, and are purchasing the "SPsounds"
upgrade, you can add some extra realism for only an extra five bucks!
You'll see the "language of the street" appear in the game's texts where
clean, decent (and boring) language had been before! You'll hear your
party members say what's really on their minds when they take hits! You'll
even get to hear the "true voice" of the end-boss, Manton Quinn, taunting
and insulting your pitiful efforts to kick his butt!!!!

	Of course, we can't just go and corrupt any young mind. You have to
promise us you're of proper age, and pay the extra five bucks for this
"VULGARITIES" upgrade. Even if you buy it, you can still let any little
rugrats in the house play the game by disabling the vulgarities from the
SP MAIN MENU.

	One last thing: We ain't condoning or advocating violence or
profanity by this game or the vulgarities upgrade. If vulgarities offend
you, don't buy them. If you don't want your kids to see the game's blood &
bodies, play the "CHILDRENS VERSION" (not available on the Share Ware trial
copy). This game only depicts a hard world of futuristic role-play.

	Comprendo?~
			SHARE WARE TRIAL VERSION
			========================
	Unless you've just ordered the complete version of Stellar Police,
direct from the authors, you are probably using the trial version. The
trial version is free for you to copy, distribute, or sell. If you like the
game in its trial form, you can order the full version.

	The trial version will only let you walk around the area surrounding
the place where you start. It does not include the AWESOME soundtrack, or
any other areas to explore. It does not let you see the bosses or use any
of the "good stuff" which is too expensive for your characters to buy when
they first start out. Once you've installed, you'll know where your players
have to investigate. But you can't actually get inside unless you've made
your move and bought the complete game. Detailed instructions on how to
play, order the game, and an order form will be available after you've
installed. You can create all the characters you want to use in the game,
or just use the ones we've included.~
		   STELLAR POLICE PLAYFIELD EDITOR
		   ===============================
	We'll be nice and let you cheat... --for a price. If you buy the
complete game, or send us your registration code, we'll extend to you the
opportunity to have the EXACT SAME EDITOR used by the authors to make all
the playfields. You can preview places you haven't been, add or remove bad
guys and bosses, even find all the secret areas and preview the SECRET
LEVELS!!!

	We do insist that you order the complete game first, and that you
NOT DISTRIBUTE ANY ALTERED VERSIONS OF "STELLAR POLICE." Details on how to
get the PlayField Editor are available after you install!!~
