Molarity / Molality

Molarity and Molality are the two most common means of measuring the concentration of a solution. This is another one of the critical skills that you will need to master in chemistry. Molarity refers to the moles per liter of solution. If a solution has a molarity of 2, that means that there are 2 moles of a solute in the liter of solution. It you have a 0.5 M solution, there is 0.5 mole dissolved into a liter of solution. Molality is a variation of molarity. Molality refers to the number of moles per kilogram of solution
