Questions & Answers
-------------------

Q. When I open a Microsoft Word file in Columizer, all of the file's formatting information appears in Columizer's text window. How do I avoid this?
A. Open the file with the application that created it (Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, whatever), copy the text you want to process, then paste the text into Columizer's text window.

Q. How is the Tab key handled?
A. In the Manipulator view, on the Text/Lines tab, if the cursor is in the (major) text area, and there is at least one character in the text area, hitting the Tab key will add a tab to whatever is in the text area. If the text area is empty, hitting the Tab key will cause the cursor to move to the next control on the current tab. If the cursor is in any other field on the Manipulator form, hitting the Tab key will cause the cursor to move to the next control on the current tab.

In the Text Viewer, hitting the Tab key will always add a tab to the text area.

Q. Can Columizer retain all the fonts and formatting of my original document?
A. Columizer will retain some formatting, but it will not retain fonts. Columizer specializes in processing text.
