This monumental event will set 7 official records and test the limits of all buggy pilots. Along with awards for the race winners, pilots will battle for their place in History. Although not everyone will leave with a trophy, everyone who takes this personal challenge will leave the Bonneville Speedway a winner. Race Outline Races 1. Ten mile (2 laps) fastest 10 mile record 2. Twenty five (5 laps) fastest 25 mile record 3. Fifty mile (10 laps) fastest 50 mile record Premium Races 1. Fastest Lap (10 -25 -50 mile racers) fastest 5 mile record. 2. Enduro Challenge (largest number of laps over 10) fastest total distance traveled. 3. Drag races (2 racer max.) fastest mile record. 4. Two wheel record (timed) 5. 1/2 mile group sprint (just for fun) AWARDS * Gold Event Pin (1st place finishers each race) * Silver Event Pin (2nd place finishers each race) * Bronze Event Pin (3rd place finishers each race) * Gold Event Pin (Premium Races 1st place only) * Special Award for first to Crap Out (give up in a race) RULES 1. THE 10 -25 -50 mile Enduro are timed sailing races to be run around a 5 mile triangulated course. 2. Pilots are started in 30seconds intervals. 3. Pilots must round each of the 3 point markers. 4. Pilots missing a point marker must return to round the marker one complete circle before proceeding. 5. Pilots may travel within the course lap line up to the inner boundary. 6. PASSING - Down wind pilots must lower kite, upwind pilots must rise kite. Passing may be attempted from up or down wind side. 7. Pilots may not touch another pilots kite or buggy. Other than passing, a distance of 30 feet is recommended. 8. Pilot closest to the marker has right of way to round the marker. 9. The choice of racing equipment is entirely up to the individual pilot. (ie. kite style, kite size, buggy style, size, single pilot tandems, skates, skateboards, etc.) 10. Pilots may carry buggy and kite equipment in a backpack or tandem buggy to make equipment changes during the race within the inner boundary or pit area. 11. 10 mile race finishers by checkered flag after 2 laps. 12. 25 mile race finishes by checkered flag after 5 laps. 13. The 50 mile racers will be clocked out after completing 5 laps for a 45 minute rest break. Racers will be restarted in 30 second intervals. 14. The race may be stopped at any time by the waving of a red flag at the start/finish line, all pilots must stop. 15. A yellow flag indicates trouble or vehicles on the course - use caution. 16. Pilots found in violation of safety rules (kite touches, not allowing a pass, cutting off another pilot...) will be docked 2 -5 minutes. 17. Pilots sighted racing in a dangerous manner or of questionable health will be pulled from the race. 18. No alcohol is allowed for the pilots competing in a race (safety and health violations). Pilots found in violation will be pulled from all scheduled events and registration fees forfeited. 19. The Race Timer keeps the official time. These results are final. No speedo readings will be considered. 20.
