Subject: Kites and carpal tunnel

A question for the collective rec.kite wisdom:
Are there any particular types of kites (single, dual, quad-line) that
I should be aware of that might possibly aggravate an existing mild carpal
tunnel syndrome problem? I already have read from the archives that I
shouldn't use wrist straps, and to use good (reputable) handles.

I ask because my husband is hinting that he might get me a kite for my
birthday (first new kites in oh, about 10 years). The Rev and RevII look
neat, but I'm wondering how much wrist action they take to fly. Is most
of the action in the wrist, or the entire upper arm?

Any input on the subject gladly accepted.

I don't need no feeeelthy disclaimer

I have some CTS, myself. I have caused flareups by flying any hard
pulling kite with wriststraps. I have never noticed any discomfort
in my wrists after flying my Rev. The motion needed to fly a Rev
is side-to-side (from the wrist's point of view) rather than the
curl/uncurl that seems to aggravate CTS.

Thanks to everyone who replied, both e-mail and news. Now I have to
decide which kite I like best, a tough proposition. Or maybe
impossible.
