He was claiming a patent on several of Don Tabor's ideas, including bungee cord and arrow nocks, sandwich spar sleeves on the leading edge, and others. AKA was involved in this by providing documentation that Don's kite preceded the work of the french patent holder. Tabor, to his regret, never patented much of anything with his first kites, and kept no kites or documentation. Everybody and their dog are now using many of his early ideas. Not to worry, you can use bungee cord. chin UP brooks leffler kyteman@aol.com = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Wed, 29 Dec 1993 22:54:38 -1000 From: andrew@tug.com (Andrew Beattie) Message-Id: Organization: /usr/lib/news/organisation Subject: Re: Kite Copying & French patent In article <9312292127.tn30167@aol.com> writes: >He was claiming a patent on several of Don Tabor's >ideas, including bungee cord and arrow nocks, sandwich spar sleeves on the >leading edge, and others. It seems that Don Tabor was a kinda important guy. Would anyone care to tell us more about him and his work? Is he still around? Did Peter Powell try to restrict the use of 2 lines?
