May 6 - 7
Lubbock, TX
Host Buffalo Beano Kite Co.

This year the BBFK is scheduled for two days. I had an opportunity to
visit this event last year. As a one day event Gary King really knows
how to organize an event. Too bad he doesn't have time to do it for the
AKA, we'd probably see a great event. This event is the first real
outdoor event in Lubbock, although it's close to the end of spring. Last
year there must have been some 15,000 plus spectators. (and not
throughout the day, at one time)

Not many kiters but more spectators than you could ever imagine in your
kite minds. Too bad the kite industry keeps ignoring this event. There
is a market here like you wouldn't believe. Thing is if you don't show
off what you got, how the hell do you expect Gary to sell what the
public don't see. (Go figure. Only took one course in Marketing. Wasn't
required for my degree in English.) :)

This is a nice event. There are people all over the place and I do mean
all over the place. Gary held the event on the grounds where the AKA
convention was held and nearly packed the place with spectators. For
more information call Gary King and tell him Mr.Nasty sent you, I get a
commission. :)

BTW - Gary's number is: (806) 762-8553
