It looks like it's going to be a pretty good event, taking place on Landsdown playing fields on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Bath. There will be ample parking, and camping will be available on site from the 28th May. My friends at Bath tell me that the many attractions/events will include: - British National pairs championship - Team Demos - Rok battles - Big display of Martin Lester kites - Licensed Beer Tent from 6pm on Saturday - "eggopolis" - 30m x 25m x 8m walk through sculpture of color (well that's how it was described to me) - Ray Bethel from Vancouver flying 3 separate kites at the same time - A North Shore Radical fly-in. Sounds like they want to go for the record if there is one of how many NSR kites can be flown all at once in the main arena! So if you have one, bring it along - sounds wild !!! The fun starts from 9am and will go on into the night with some people wanting to show of their night flying with kite lights. If anyone is near Bath on Friday afternoon/evening, they are also doing a "Kites in the Cresent" fly-in. So bring your kites and short lines to the Royal Cresent and join in. Have fun... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gerry Lawrence email: gerry@bicceri.demon.co.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------------- = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
