...has anyone else tried compiling Inform on the PC? More to the
point, has anyone gotten it to work?

Here are the problems I am encountering:

When USE_TEMPORARY_FILES is on, the Z-code information from temporary
file 2 isn't copied to the generated game file correctly; all that is
copied is a bunch of hex FFs. With USE_TEMPORARY_FILES undefined,
this works fine.

When compiling anything more complex than HELLOW.INF (i.e. something
which has some code to it ;), the program seems to lose track of the
stack pointer variable ("sp"), and I haven't the faintest idea of how
to fix this one.

Anyone else trying, or has anyone else had luck?
