Tomorrow Never Comes by A. Bomire Copyright 2005

In this game you play an agent working for Her Majesty's Secret Service,
or MI6. This is a world of international intrigue and espionage; where
James Bond battles such organizations as SPECTRE and SMERSH to prevent
their evil plans of world domination. And you are dumped right into
the middle of it! You're going to need every ounce of courage, initiative,
cunning, and...other...talents to keep from being killed, or worse,
sent to work in the records archive!

  -------------------------------------------------------------------------

This game represents a departure from games I've done in the past in
several ways:

1) It is very linear. You proceed from area to area, with almost no
chance or way of going back to previous areas later in the game. As such,
inventory management becomes very key. In order to help, I have attempted
to prevent you as a player from being able to pass from one area to another
without having a key item (thus making the game unwinnable).

2) The game makes use of multimedia. There are no pictures of characters,
but there are pictures, sounds, and even music that I hoped would help set
the mood, especially in transitting from area to area. The multimedia files
are contained in a separate resource file (tnc.rs0), so if you don't want
them at all just remove this file.

As most people playing this game in multimedia mode will be using HTML-TADS,
there are also settings in that interpreter to turn off separate multimedia
aspects. These are located under the "VIEW" menu. You can turn off music,
sound effects or graphics separately.

3) In most of my past games, sex has played a role, but it hasn't been
a major role. The story and puzzles have been my main concern. This game
is based upon the James Bond universe, where sex is one of the many weapons
in any agent's arsenal. Because of this, I have increased the amount of
effect sex has in this game. You still don't have to score with any of the
women in this game to win, but you may have to score with them to get the
best possible outcome.

4) There are several narrative scenes in the game. I have tried my best
to limit them, but couldn't cut them down any more without compromising
the flow of the game. This isn't necessarily a departure from some of
my past games, other than there are more of such scenes than I normally
put in.

For information on any special commands or other topics, check out the
INFO section of the game (just type INFO at the command prompt).

Finally, I have to give credit where it is due: I admit freely and openly
that the first part of the game where you are at the Casino de Monte
Carlo is adapted from "Casino Royale", Ian Fleming's first Bond book.
Other than a really dreadful parody made in 1967 starring David Niven as
Bond (when Sean Connery was Bond!), this has never really been dealt with
as a Bond movie. So, I included it here.

I hope you enjoy the game!
