Has anybody out there expirence running a terminal via a
null-modem against a machine running Minix?

The reason I want to do this is to have a Minix session in a
window on my normal desktop instead of having to boot into
Minix. I know of the Bochs emulator but it does not seem to
be working on my machine Minix crashes right after I ask the
Boot monitor to start Minix. (Currently running Win98)

I have made some investigation and come to that I should
add/edit the /etc/ttytab file to contain a line stating the
following:

tty00 vt100 getty "stty 38400"

But is this all that has to be done, and offcourse restart
the minix machine to make a connection from a VT-100
terminal program on the client machine and restart the Minix
machine also?

I unfortunately do not have the null-modem (DIN9 - DIN9)
that can connect the two machines tonight but I will try
tomorrow, I just wanted to hear if anybody had any good
ideas on how to do this.

By the way does anybody have expirence running the DOS Minix
in a DOS box under OS/2?

- Laust.
