You are trying to run it in a DOS box, which is virtual 8086 mode.  The 386
dosminix should work on your machine if you boot it in real DOS.  Or perhaps
you could use the 8086 version of Minix.  If the machine only has NT installed,
it wouldn't make much sense to install DOS to run Minix; you'd be better off
creating a Minix partition.
