I have run the PPST benchmark on a number of workstations and printers:

Notes: All the machines were running background jobs and the local network 
is always quite busy. Large fluctuations in the numbers were observed.

The benchmark did show rather different numbers if the file was loaded
from the command line while starting the previewer, the graphics numbers 
were better (!), while the other indices were worse than what found 
if the file was selected after startup.

Ghostview 1.0 & Ghostscript 2.2 were unable to run the benchmark.

I also ran the test on two laser printers:
