NAVIGATOR PROJECTION

Drawing Area: A rough, polygonal approximation of the scene from the current
View position is shown in the Navigator Projection drawing area. You can
interactively position the view by pressing the "start" button in the
drawing area. The start button is set using the Input Device component of the
system, and is initially set to the left mouse button. The mouse is the
initial input device, and navigation can be performed with the mouse similar
to a flight simulator. Keeping the mouse in the center of the drawing area
results in only a translation along the View's z axis based on the current
velocity. The velocity can be increased by clicking the right mouse button,
and can be decreased by clicking the middle mouse button. If the mouse is
moved to the right/left of center, this results in a rotation of the View
about its y axis in a positive/negative direction. Moving the mouse
above/below the center results in a rotation of the View about its x axis
in a negative/positive direction. Pressing the x/z keys on the keyboard
causes the View to rotate about its z axis in a positive/negative direction.
Clicking the left mouse button ends the flight. This description is for the
default settings of the input device only - if modifications have been made
in the Input Device component, then the flight methods will vary.

V: Set the velocity to be used initially for the next flight.
