XPRISM3(FILES) Khoros XPRISM3(FILES)

     OVERVIEW

An Xprism3 file can be output as a VIFF file, which is the
image file format used by KHOROS. It is comprised of a
header that contains all of the necessary information about
the image file, followed by the data. Furthermore, a VIFF
file may be broken down into an IMPLICIT or EXPLICIT file.
An IMPLICIT file contains Z data, with the location informa-
tion (ie. X and Y axis) implied from the data itself. An
EXPLICIT file contains the data as well as the specific
location information. A more detailed description of IMPLI-
CIT and EXPLICIT files is provided by accessing the HELP
button on the "Input File" pane of the "Plot" subform.

The four ways to output a plot in xprism are:

     Explicit file
an Explicit Khoros Image File from the information
          describing a (single) plot

     Implicit file
an Implicit Khoros Image File from the information
          describing a (single) plot

     Khoros VIFF file map
the Z data values are saved in a Khoros VIFF file map.

     Screen dump
the literal xprism workspace image may be saved as a
          Khoros Image file

To output a plot in any form, that plot must have been pre-
viously created and plotted using the "Input" pane of the
"Plot" subform, and must be displayed on the screen when you
select the output option. If there is more than one plot in
the graphics workspace, you will be prompted to indicate
which plot you are interested in. If there is only one plot
in the window, it is assumed that it is the plot you want.
