General Remarks on Colors
.LP
The available colors will only be displayable if your monitor has at least
8 planes (allows 256 colors). While 4 plane (16 colors) monitors will have
a subset of these colors the
list widget that is displayed will still list all 24 colors. Depending
on which colors are still available for use, the color chosen may or may
not be available. Of course, those on monochrome workstations must be
content with blank and white. Even on an 8-plane machine, however,
the colors are "open to interpretation".
That is, the name of the color selected and the actual color displayed may or
may not coincide exactly, depending on machine architecture, your system's
rgb.txt file, and the brightness or dimness of your console.
