Selections here are for specifying the I/O environment
of the XPrism plotting package. Options include specification
of the global input directory and the global output directory.

Often it is nice to have a particular directory that holds
plot files, images, etc, and then to have xprism2 go directly to that
directory to look for or place files. For instance, if the desired
files are not in one's local directory, one must type the
entire correct path into an input file parameter box to specify a file, or
use the browser widget to travel through the directory structure to find the
desired file. Once the correct pathnames are specified as the Global Input
and Global Output Directories, however, only the name of a file in that
directory is necessary to fill in any xprism3 parameter box which calls for
an input or output file. In addition, if one utilizes the file browser,
the browser will now display files found in the specified input directory.
