An Xprism2 file can be output as a VIFF file, which is the image file format
used by KHOROS. It is comprised of a header that contains all of the
necessary information about the image file, followed by the data.
A VIFF image file may be broken down into an IMPLICIT
or EXPLICIT image. An IMPLICIT image contains Z data, with
the location information (ie. X and Y axis) implied from the
data itself. An EXPLICIT image contains the data as well as
the specific location information. A more detailed description
of IMPLICIT and EXPLICIT image is provided by accessing the HELP button
on the "Input File" pane of the "Plot" subform.

The four ways to output a plot in xprism are:

.SH
Implicit file
.IP

.SH

the Y data values are saved in a Khoros VIFF file map.
.SH
Screen dump
.IP
the literal xprism workspace image may be saved as a Khoros Image file

To output a plot in any form, that plot must have been previously created and
plotted using the "Input" pane of the "Plot" subform, and must be displayed
on the screen when you select the output option. If there is more than one plot
in the graphics workspace, you will be prompted to indicate which plot you are
interested in. If there is only one plot in the window, it is assumed that it
is the plot you want.
