These items should be used whenever any float or integer parameter
is needed by the program that you are creating.
The "FLOAT VALUE" and "INTEGER VALUE" buttons operate similarly.
To add a new numeric input item in your pane, click on
the desired button. This will pop-up a list of the -f or -i template items
that you can add. Click on the item in the list that you want.
Once you have done this, you can begin editing the fields in the
bottom two thirds of the composer form.
.PP
If you have an existing -f or -i item, and wish to add
another, you have the option of copying an existing item or adding
a new one. To add a new item, just click on the
"FLOAT VALUE" or "INTEGER VALUE" button. The list that pops up will have
a new template item as the last entry on the list.

If you wish to
copy an existing item, click on the "COPY" button. This will give you a list
of all items on the pane that you are editing. Select the -f or -i
line in the list that you wish to copy. A new line will be created with
a position that is below the selected item.

After a -f or -i line is selected, edit the fields in the composer form
to meet your requirements. The fields both determine the appearance of
the graphical user interface (the pane) and the command line user
interface. Though you can immediately view the pane, ghostwriter must
be run before you can examine the command line user interface.

There are several conventions to follow for the numeric input parameters.
They should be positioned below any input/output files in the
pane that you are editing.
The variable or command line argument flag should usually
be as short as possible, single characters are preferred.
A scroll bar is provided for any bounded numeric inputs, i.e. "User Specified
Range" should be used. Setting the bounds correctly is very important
because of the automatic error checking provided by the user interfaces
created from the pane file.
