Cantata(Workspace) Khoros Cantata(Workspace)

     TEMPORARY FILES

The `Temporary Files' input allows the user to specify the
directory which is to be used as the working directory for
cantata. Intermediate data files which are created during
the execution of processing routines are placed here. These
files are erased on a normal exit from cantata unless
     specifically saved.

Filenames created by connecting glyphs prior to changing the
`Temporary Files' directory will NOT be affected by the
change. That is, they will NOT be moved to the new direc-
tory. Also, "output" filenames are not automatically
deleted when a connection is deleted, but may be removed by
opening the subform and erasing the "Output Image" filename
     on the pane.

The location of the temporary files is initially set to the
UNIX environment variable TMPDIR. This can be changed
before starting cantata by the following example command,

          % setenv TMPDIR /usr/khoros/temp.
