ANIMATE(help) Khoros ANIMATE(help)

     DESCRIPTION

The animate program is an interactive image sequence display
tool. This application allows you to input an image that
contains multiple data bands and sequence through those data
bands. Alternatively, you may provide a basename that
describes a set of single band images located in the same
directly, and use these as input to animate.

Currently, animate can utilize a maximum of 256 colors.

The display features provided by animate include:

     1) Forward and reverse sequencing.

     2) Different sequencing mechanisms (looping, single step-
          ping, auto reverse).

     3) Variable sequencing speed.

     4) Optional display of frame number

     5) Optional display of animation on root window

     6) Clip masks and Shape Masks

Animate can be executed from within cantata, or directly
from the command line. When using the command line inter-
face, a single multiband image or a set of single band
images must be specified at the time of execution. This is
done by providing one of the [-i filename] or [-base
     basename] option flags.

To see a demo of the animate program, execute:

     % animate -i $KHOROS_HOME/data/sequences/bushes -jp
     $KHOROS_HOME/repos/journals/animate.jp
