     ANIMATION CONTROL

Animate is controlled from the master form that is directly
above the displayed image. The master form contains two sub-
form buttons labeled, "Input" and "Options". To input a new
multiband image, or to input a new basename describing a set
of single band images to be used as animation data, use the
"Input" subform. Here you may also input a new clip or
shape mask. To control the way the data sequence is
animated, use the "Options" subform. "Help" brings up these
help pages, while "Quit" exits the program. The sequencing
control buttons that appear directly above the image control
the sequencing of data frames as follows:

'>' Each time this button is pressed, the next
image band will be displayed. This represents
single step in the forward direction.

'>>' When this button is pressed, the image data
bands will sequence automatically in the for-
ward direction. When the "Animation Control"
toggle on the "Options" subform is set to
'Loop', the sequence will be repeated con-
tinuously. When "Animation Control" is set
to 'Single', the sequence will be displayed
                    only once.

'STOP' This button when pressed will stop the image
bands from being sequenced. The any other
sequencing direction button is pressed the
sequencing picks up from where it left off.

'<' Each time this button is pressed, the last
image band will be displayed. This represents
single step in the reverse direction.

'<<' When this button is pressed, the image data
bands will sequence automatically in the
                    reverse direction. When "Animation Control"
is set to is set to 'Single', the sequence
                    will be displayed only once.

When sequencing through the bands in an image, the last
band is considered to be adjacent to the first image
band. Thus, if the last band is displayed when the user
is single stepping with a looping sequencing mechanism,
the first image band will be displayed on the next
          step.

     Glyph

Clicking on the "Glyph" button that appears on the upper
left hand corner of the Animate master form will cause the
master form and any displayed subforms to be compacted into
a small box labeled "Animate". This allows the user to
reduce clutter on the screen. The glyphed animate program
can be recovered by clicking the left mouse button inside
     the Master glyph.
