My apologies for what follows, I am troubled.

This problem was documented in the Release announcement for beta8.

This patch has been posted at least 4 times already.

Do the release announcements or the list get read? (Just asking).

Sorry for ranting, but I spend a lot of time writing the release
announcements. If they're not going to be read, I can easily spend a
lot less.

Please, please read this list carefully in the first 24-48 hours after
a beta is released. Most of the major problems get patch fixes posted
well before then. There are extremely bright and quick contributors
out there ... Would it help to have a message `blessing' posted patches?

If xemacs-beta is not considered valuable reading, I would welcome
suggestions on how to make it more useful. Something appears to be
going terribly wrong and I wish to fix it.
