I classify "slow" as "slow". :-)

To see what I mean, try killing a line close to the top of a window.
The lower part of the window will redisplay, instead of scrolling.
Terminal scrolling regions are not used at all.

In fact, the above paragraph of mine was an understatement.  TTY
optimizations are mostly non-existant in XEmacs.

It shows especially with heavy display things like edebug.
