Another annoyance regarding rcs.  Suppose you checked in your latest
change.  You notice a minor flaw.  You edit the buffer to correct the
flaw.  Then you try "cancel-last-checkin".  You're told you can't do
that because you're not the person holding the lock (or something to
that effect), which is, of course, a rather misleading error message.
