I'm advocating the step up from 19.14 to 20.2-sans-mule at our
site. Unfortunately, we're all stuck in an 8bpp world here. One of our
users sent the following, complaining about the increased colormap
use.

At this time, there is no `-install' equivalent option, correct? Can
anything else be done?

One thing I've already noticed--this version is really eating up
my color table. Is there an equivalent of the -install feature?
