After 20.2 is released, we can look at this. Until then, let's
wait.

Because PC's are inflexible and Emacs isn't, Emacs gets to be
like a PC? Can anyone come up with a faster way to make me
vomit?

Nobody has said anything about delbackspace.el, so after 20.2 let's
nuke the file, and port the FSF Emcas pc-mode and pc-select files
and try to forget about it. And I mean forget all about it. If
we have to feel pain in order to be FSF Emacs compatible, we might
as well get some pleasure out of it, too. "It's Stallman's fault,
we just copied the files." "It's Gates' fault. No explanation
necessary." "It's Apple's fault, they never listen to anybody."
"It's CDE's fault, all consortia products are cursed."
