and some bugs have reappeared.  For example, when I use gnuattach, a C-g
kicks me out.  This was not happening for a long time.  It is happening
now.  Perhaps I am wrong, but it does seem like the number of crashes
that have been posted has risen sharply in the last couple of days.
Similarly the png configure bug has reappeared.  Why rush these things?

This is not a helpful attitude.  In addition it does not seem to be
entirely true.
