apparently, network connections never reach the closed state under
unixware, similar to the brokenness under Solaris, which means W3 won't
work. Has anybody ever found a workaround for this problem under solaris
2.5?

Since solaris is broke and nobody gripes too hard, I'm going to upload the
binary kit anyway.
