The 'memory-exhausted' bug happened again when I recompiled beta 104
from the complete distribution a little while ago. When I configured,
I selected --use-system-malloc as one of the options.

Recompiling with the Gnu-malloc included with XEmacs fixes it, and
now Gnus works agian.

The other Gnus bug I reported (buffer not there) seems to be gone now
also.
