20.1b8 hpux9.05

I was reading xemacs-beta via gnus nnml. I clicked button2 on a
message (one of the ones re 20.1 total disaster). Then, almost every
event (mouse click, window entry/exit, most but not all key presses)
caused "wrong type argument". Impossible to do M-x, so I couldn't get
a lisp backtrace. That's the second time I've gotten into this mode.
I hope this one's found before releasing 20.1.!
